Bananas definitely have to be one of our favourite fruits! They're so good in smoothies, deserts and just a great snack. Lately we have been thinking about their benefits to our skin so we've come up with 4 reasons why we should be eating them and putting them on our face too!
1. GREAT MOISTURISER
Bananas are rich in potassium, which helps to hydrate the skin and lock in the moisture. Potassium controls the water level in your body's cells so if you don't get enough in your diet, it can lead to dry and cracked skin. Bananas also have vitamin E, which has amazing moisturising properties and helps to fight free radical damage.
2. GLOWING SKIN
Bananas are also a great source of vitamin C, which is an amazing antioxidant, assists in boosting collagen which will help to brighten and plump up the skin. Vitamin C also helps protect your skin from free radical damage, which will make you look more youthful for longer. Bananas are also rich in manganese which helps the body produce collagen.
3. HELPS FIGHT BLEMISHES
Bananas have anti-inflammatory properties which helps to minimise the redness and size of blemishes and spots. They also contain Vitamin B6 which can help regulate hormone imbalances which may lead to acne. Vitamin B6 also helps to repair damaged skin cells to leave you with calm, clear skin.
4. HELPS WITH BEAUTY SLEEP

BANANA & CINNAMON FACE MASK
Half of a banana (it is better if you use a very ripe one to make it easier to mash)
1 tablespoon of oats
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
Mash all together & you're done!
Leave on for about 10-15 minutes and wash off with a warm cloth.
