skin glow bliss balls
When it comes to healthy snacks, I like to make something quick and easy that will fill me up. This is why these bliss balls are such a great option, as they don’t require any baking, they just set in the fridge!
These are packed with skin glowing ingredients like Brazil nuts, coconut oil, turmeric, matcha, flax seeds, chia seeds and lemon zest.
INGREDIENTS:
1/3 Cup Brazil Nuts
1 Cup Pitted Dates
1 ½ Tablespoons Coconut Oil
½ Teaspoon Turmeric
½ Teaspoon Matcha
2 Tablespoons Flaxseeds
1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds
½ Teaspoon Lemon Zest
2 Tablespoons Protein Powder
1 Teaspoon Maca Powder
METHOD:
- In a food processer, blend all the ingredients until combined.
- Roll tablespoons of mixture into balls and place in the refrigerator for an hour or until they’re firm.
Prep Time – 15 minutes (+ refrigeration time)
Makes 5 large bliss balls or 8 small
TIP! You can always freeze them so they last longer!

These are the richest source of selenium, which helps to fight free radical damage and inflammation.
DATES:
Dates contain vitamin C and D, which promote skin elasticity. They also have anti aging benefits.
COCONUT OIL:
This oil has anti inflammatory and antimicrobial properties and is high in proteins and contains Vitamin E, which soften and smooth dry skin.
TURMERIC:
Turmeric has amazing anti-inflammatory qualities, which can calm the skin. It also helps with scarring and breakouts.
MATCHA:
Matcha is an antibacterial, fights inflammation and contains an abundance of antioxidants.
FLAXSEEDS:
These are packed with omega 3 fatty acids and are also an amazing anti-inflammatory.
CHIA SEEDS:
These seeds are rich in omega-3 and 6 fatty acids as well as antioxidants. They are an anti-inflammatory, which helps calm and sooth the skin.
LEMON ZEST:
Lemons are an anti-bacterial and also contain vitamin C, which can help brighten and revitalise the skin.
MACA POWDER:
Maca powder can reduce skin sensitivity and it can help boost energy levels.
